Think you live too far away? We can host meetings via Skype!

Check out our Open Positions!

Nominations for open Board and Committee Chair/Co-Chair positions must be received by January 19th, 2019, to be considered at the Annual Meeting on January 26th. Send nominations to MarcL@lakeshoreretreat.org (you may self-nominate). Nominations are not required for committee member or volunteer positions.

Volunteer for Lakeshore Retreat

Lakeshore Retreat 2018 hasn’t started yet, but we are already planning for next year and beyond!

Lakeshore is looking for a diverse group of volunteers with varying levels of commitment. We have opportunities with small time commitments like helping at an event (i.e. kitchen help, decorations, etc.), to participating in committees that work periodically throughout the year, to leadership and administrative roles that work all year and attend monthly meetings.

In addition to increasing diversity in people and skillsets, we are looking to increase geographic diversity. We are specifically looking for representatives from outside the Tacoma area where most of our board currently lives. While it is easier to meet in person, we do have Skype available to attend meetings remotely, or you may be able to work with a committee in your local area.

In October through January, Lakeshore will be working on creating new committee positions, setting goals for the next few years, and possibly amending our bylaws and restructuring our board. With that in mind, we would like to have an idea of who is interested, and what skills are available (for committees and year-round commitments) by the end of the month.

If you are interested in helping shape the future of Lakeshore Retreat, please contact Kris S. at KrisS@lakeshoreretreat.org. Please include where you live, your sobriety date, how much time you have available to give (event only, occasional, or year-round), and what skills and experience you can contribute.

Now Accepting Raffle Donations!

We are now collecting donations for our famous raffle at this year's retreat. Again this year, we are focusing on fewer, but higher quality prizes. Please contact Marc L. at MarcL@lakeshoreretreat.org if you would like to donate to this year's raffle.

The raffle promises to be an exciting event with our fabulous new hostess, Mizz Honey Bucket!

The raffle is our largest source of income, and proceeds help keep registration costs low (it costs more than $90/person to put on the retreat!), provide scholarships, and fund general operating expenses.
