  • Annual Report

  • Elections for Open Board & Committee Positions

  • Not sure where you fit? Come and See!

We have positions with different levels of commitment and responsibility that should work for almost anyone! Positions range from year-round board positions, to committee positions that meet a couple times a year or seasonally before an event, to event volunteers that only help at the events! Think you live too far away? We can host meetings via Skype!

Check out our Open Positions!

Nominations for open Board and Committee Chair/Co-Chair positions must be received by January 19th, 2019, to be considered at the Annual Meeting on January 26th. Send nominations to MarcL@lakeshoreretreat.org (you may self-nominate). Nominations are not required for committee member or volunteer positions.

For details on open positions, click here. Have something you can contribute, but don’t see a position that matches, let us know!

Volunteer for Lakeshore Retreat

Lakeshore Retreat 2018 hasn’t started yet, but we are already planning for next year and beyond!

Lakeshore is looking for a diverse group of volunteers with varying levels of commitment. We have opportunities with small time commitments like helping at an event (i.e. kitchen help, decorations, etc.), to participating in committees that work periodically throughout the year, to leadership and administrative roles that work all year and attend monthly meetings.

In addition to increasing diversity in people and skillsets, we are looking to increase geographic diversity. We are specifically looking for representatives from outside the Tacoma area where most of our board currently lives. While it is easier to meet in person, we do have Skype available to attend meetings remotely, or you may be able to work with a committee in your local area.

In October through January, Lakeshore will be working on creating new committee positions, setting goals for the next few years, and possibly amending our bylaws and restructuring our board. With that in mind, we would like to have an idea of who is interested, and what skills are available (for committees and year-round commitments) by the end of the month.

If you are interested in helping shape the future of Lakeshore Retreat, please contact Kris S. at KrisS@lakeshoreretreat.org. Please include where you live, your sobriety date, how much time you have available to give (event only, occasional, or year-round), and what skills and experience you can contribute.
